Forecasting
Isaiah 13:9-13
9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and the day of his fierce anger.
⛅”Are you a person who likes to be updated especially on the weather? Most people are, especially here in Norway. We like to know the day’s forecast so that we will be prepared what kind of clothes or outerwear we are going to use that day.
Weather forecasting had been practiced for centuries and although sometimes they failed to forecast the accurate weather that day, they didn’t do it badly.
Anyway, in the above verses, we were warned about the coming of the Lord. It will be a catastrophe day for everyone who was not prepared. The heavens will be darkened, and tremble and the earth will be out of place. Are we preparing for that? Anyway, although it is not here yet, the day to make oneself ready is today because tomorrow might not come for some. And Jesus is just waiting for everyone with open arms.
