God’s kingdom

In my devotion, I come across this verse:

Matthew 6:33 Seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

This verse says to people to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

Conversation with God!

What it is that I can find in Your kingdom Lord?

Well, maybe I should think about who You are first and Your character to know what is in Your kingdom. First, in Genesis, you are our Creator. You created the universe and everything in it. The vastness that no one manages to measure yet. No one will ever be managed to duplicate its awesomeness. I am thinking of sunrises, sunsets. Your hand paintings. I am completely mesmerized by how they color the sky. They are new every day.

The mountains, hills, valleys, plateaus, plains. Different formations. Every destination has its beauty to find.

The animals on the ground, the birds in the air. How they interact with each other and how they live are fascinating. The trees and the plants. The beauty and the colorful flowers, different scents…really magnificent Lord. And if what You had created for us are here are all awesome, how much more then is in your kingdom, In Your kingdom, everything is perfect.

In Exodus, You are the one who frees Your people from slavery. In Leviticus, you are had given guidance on how Your people should live to be blessed. In Deuteronomy, You are the graceful God who fulfills Your promises. In the book of Joshua, you are the one who helps your people to defeat the enemy. In the book of Ruth, it portrays that You are a God that makes all things work for good for those that are faithful and loyal. The book of Samuel portrays a God who chooses not because of the outward appearance, but what is their hearts. In the book of Kings, you showed that there is a reward to those that obey and punishment for those who don’t. In Chronicles, you are the God who helps and restores. You bring the violent human empires to destruction.

You give Your followers wisdom and energy to do the work You assign them. In the book of Zechariah, You promised salvation. In the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke John, you are a God who loves us unconditionally, Our Savior, our Redeemer, Healer, Deliverer. God who forgives, the way, the truth, the life, and a miracle worker. And the book of Acts, You gave boldness, power, and courage to the believers. You gave me the strength to endure. You showed how Your power manifested in them, strengthened them, gave them the courage to be bold and to live like Christ. Those lives are an example of Your divine works.

In the letters of the apostles, we are encouraged, guided, and taught.

In Your kingdom Father, there is love, forgiveness, healing, comfort, knowledge, goodness, and provision.

If I am to describe You, God, using the alphabet, I will say that You are Awesome, Almighty, All-knowing. Your grace is Bountiful. Everything you had created is Beautiful. You are Benevolent (well-meaning and kindly). The bread of life. Our Comforter and a Compassionate God. You are our Deliverer. Your love is Everlasting. You are a Faithful God who fulfills Your promises. Our Healer. You are great I am and Holy. Our Jehovah. The King of kings and the Lord of lords. You are Marvelous. Your grace is New every morning. You are Omnipotent, (having unlimited power) Omniscience, ( having maximal knowledge), and omnipresent (present everywhere). A Powerful God. You are our Peace. You are Quintessential (representing the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class). You are our Redeemer, Savior, the Truth, Unequalled, Unparalleled. You the Vine, we are the branches. You are the Way and our Yahweh. A Zealous God.

Prayer:

Thank You Father for enlightening me who You are and what I can find in Your kingdom. May I will always be reminded of all Your qualities and what I have in Your kingdom especially when I tend to forget and exchange Yours with the worldly kingdom. May You remind my loved ones too. Thank You for everything. All praise and honor to You. I Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
