Prayer:

Father God, we are embarking on a new year and as we look around us and see the latest of everything, it can make us hungry for more pleasure, more easy life, more likes, more views. Everything that our flesh desires.

But You have a different purpose for us. And we will not find that purpose in the world but in Your Word. I pray for each one to open the Bible. Your written Word to know Your plans for us. Your love letter to us that can silence our doubts. That can lead us to full glory as stated in Your Word.

God, make each one understand that although Your wisdom is hidden deep, it is something we can acquire in fellowship with You.

From the very beginning, it has been Your purpose. To fill us with Your glory and grace. A favor that we have being Your children.

I pray that we not only take the grace that is offered at the cross one time but choose to be filled daily with Your grace. To prefer to be overflowing with all that You freely give.

I pray that no matter what this world brings to our feet, we will choose instead to receive what You offer from heaven above. Because everything that comes from You is for our benefit. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen
